Im going to try to shorten this homage to Jo, but I highly doubt Ill be able to. Im not sure about anyone else on the board, but I can say from personal experience that Jotenks is one of the best men Ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. An astute business student, the guy has been able to keep DBZ Legends running longer than any other RPG of its type on Ezboard. The site has always had its ups and downs; some terribly low downs and some incredibly high ups. Somehow, Jo has managed to stick through it all and become one of the more prominent board owners on the net. Theres too much to say about his personality, so lets get down to the nitty-gritty. The ever-witty administrator started out his days of Rping as Jotunks on MT. DBZ (a board long since dead) in the early 2000s. It was a direct move from MT. DBZ to Legends (the site he created) just a few months before its complete demise. In this respect, Jo and I share a very interesting connection: we were both there, just at different times. As a role-player, hes managed to concoct some of the most memorable characters the site has ever seen. In his fairly short list, Joe Guth, Terra, and the overlooked Guiseppe Batistuta are only a few to name. In an interesting twist, Caco (a crossover char from MT. DBZ) happens to be the leader of a major complex on DBZ Legends. With his organized but very powerful writing style, Jotenks is not only one of the best board owners on Ezboard, but probably one of the best writers as well. His insight and his ability to rule seem to come second to none. Jos just got that innate sense of leadership, that I hope shows in a little of all of us. Hes been the driving force of this site and the main reason we all stay. Jotenks youre one hell of a guy.

Only the very early members will have actually seen Nqepwr around on the site, with a few more possibly knowing of him due to the occasional mentioning of the name in conversations. Once a close friend of mine, he helped in the creation of the site as a co-admin, being of equal power to myself. Starting with him as an active member certainly made a difference in attracting early members, and therefore impacted the early survival of the site, while his RPing skills werent bad either. A few attempts were made to get him to return but none worked out and I havent seen him since 2005, though he supposedly goes to the same university!

Chrono went by several different usernames, most involving Chrono and/or something resembling Tracker. Had he been disciplined and kept the same account/remembered his passwords, his post count certainly would be higher and more fitting for someone who was the first member to join the site apart from those responsible for founding it. Though he had quite a few vacation periods away from the site, hes been very good at returning and has participated in numerous events and tournaments. He even spent a while as the dominant character, Chrono winning one of the early tournaments before Jin and a few others left him in the dust. Still, one of the nicer members Ive known and a good role-player as well. His main achievement though was being the member to take longest to reach Legend status! Looking back though, it would have been a crime for him to not make it as one after all he has contributed.

Yugos first character was approved only around two weeks after the very first character (Joe) and became the first real dominant character on the site, winning the first tournament held on Legends, while also being greatly useful in early sagas. His activity early on was priceless, even though his character wasnt the most sociable apart from in the main events. Like Nqepwr, his stay wasnt overly long and his name wont be too well known, but those who were around all will know how good an RPer this guy was.
Preist5
Joined 16th May 2002
One of the earliest big names to join and one who truly had a strangle hold over the Leaderboards for a long while. Though his character started out rather slowly, he steadily climbed up the rankings with his high quality posting until he reached the top, winning one of the world tournaments as well as playing major roles in several missions. Anyone who has had to fight him will know two things; he has some damn annoying moves and that he will do about anything to try and stop himself losing, though I must admit he always kept his actions legal. Whenever anyone came close to surpassing him, Preist5 had the uncanny ability to raise his level and produce sessions faster than anyone else could at the time, putting himself way ahead again, making it look terribly easy. He did have other characters than Jin but never really used them, must to the annoyance of those trying to catch him in the rankings. Even after he left, it took months, if not more for anyone to pass him and claim top spot and though gone for several years now, he still sits very high on the Leaderboards. Jin will be remembered as one of the most popular characters to other members around at the time, while he was also responsible for our very first site banner and button set. All round great guy. Shame there is no way to contact him and bug him to return. If he returns or not, one record will always be his; his character being the first to ever reach Legend status.

The last role-player who I would say was a part of the first generation of major members, SS6 had made more characters for the site than just about anyone, being one of the major reasons for us expanding our maximum character limit to six, as it is today. His activity has somewhat died in recent years, but early on he was one of the driving forces behind the sites activity, helping it through some tough periods. Sadly, the mass of characters meant that he never got any one character very high, with his best still a long way off of reaching Legendary status. Never one to provide great length posts, SS6 made up for this early on by posting several short ones to compensate. Hes certainly one of the members on the site who deserved to make it to Legend but probably never will, unless he shocks us all and returns to set that right. He helped greatly in paying for early Gold subscriptions for the board, meaning I didnt have to shell out nearly as much as I otherwise would have had to!

This guy didnt last too long on the site, but did get in some good sessions while he was around. The name here will be known by very few, though more may recognize him by the names of WilK or RaditzCOT, the one responsible for founding Dragonball Parallels, one of DBZLs main rival sites. Despite proving to be a thorn in the Legends side because of it, he was a nice guy still remains on good terms with me. Its just a shame he didnt stay with Legends instead and drag all the Parallels people here or wed have been a good deal larger!

There are a lot of things Plzing is responsible for and Ill probably forget a few here. The sites activity was rather low compared to later periods and his joining did a lot to improve it with his very active posting, both in character and out of character. He was the first real spam king of the site, spurring a few other members later on to follow suit, causing a large rise in posts per day. His mere presence had a positive effect on how much others seemed to post, with averages falling whenever he managed to leave. He worked his way up to be the second in command, though his powers wouldnt compare too well with the admins around now. His main character, Kolblak, a Draconic who was possibly inspired by Chrono spent a while towards the top of the rankings before his departure, with him being one of the few characters keeping Jin under some form of pressure to keep training. He regularly contributed to the fanfic section and is still one of the larger posters there, though I would advise most to avoid reading his topics, as they are disturbing. He ended up leaving for personal reasons (relationship stuff), which I wont go into and spent a long while away from the board, claiming he would return a few times and either not doing so, or returning and it not lasting long at all. He still pops around every so often to put in a spam post or two and is very slowly progressing a training session, which probably wont end for several months, if not longer. Plzing was definitely one of the sites top members and one of my better buddies on the site, hence I still bug him, trying to get him to make a proper return. Had he not actually been engaged and such, I am sure that most would have thought him to be gay due to his fanfics and his comical out of character relationship with Seph in the lounges, which would have shocked anyone who didnt know they were kidding (or we hope they were).

Brought to the site by Plzing a few weeks after he joined, Will was an active and talented writer, gaining stats at a very impressive rate for that time and helping out a lot in the sagas and tournaments that took place in his time here. Unluckily for us, he had to depart due to army duties, only returning to the US in early 2007. He still kept in touch, claiming he would return at some point, though this is yet to happen. We can still hope though!

More likely to be recognized by his character name, Resal Lerimus, if at all. He was one of a few very good role-players to join in the second half of 2003, helping to bring Legends one of its better early periods. He managed to mass a fair few stats during his time on the site, making Resal a very respectable fighter before heading off somewhat suddenly.

Though his name may not be the best known, both the site, and I owe a huge amount to Kade for what he had done. He was one of a few talented RPers, along with the likes of Seph, Titan and Darkwolfofdemon to join in a short period of time and quickly established himself as a very skilled member, while also being one of the nicest guys to chat to of anyone at the time. He brought a fair few characters to the site in his first period here, though most died off rather quickly and never returned, Keiko being the main exception of this and gaining quite a few stats. Looking in the long term though, what I really owe him for is bringing his younger brother to the site with him, as he has evolved into one of our best members as far as quality goes, if not the best. His first stint on the site came to an end a bit more quickly than hoped, though he did get a lot done in that time. He spent a long time away from the site and wasnt really reachable directly via messenger during this time, though he made a very welcome return in mid-late 2005 with some new characters. Just their sheets alone showed just how much he had improved, with them all being extremely impressive. Sadly, he didnt have long to grace us with his skills with those characters or even his presence, as he passed on late in the year. I choose not to go into any further details over that, since it isnt something I wish to recall. In summation though, very high quality writer, great guy (one of the better friends Ive had on the site) and responsible for one of Legends most priceless assets.

I could easily write double the amount for Shock that I could do for almost anyone else on here, so Ill try to keep it from going too far. Shock was one of a few good members to join in the second half of 2003, joining at a surprisingly young age compared to most. Even at this early stage, he was a decent writer, though when it came to gaining stats, he was far outclassed by the likes of Preist5, Plzing and a few others, meaning his characters werent the most competitive. Still, his consistent loyalty to the site and steady posting meant that he was one of the earlier people to reach Legend status, with GG making it roughly a year after Jin did, while Kori made it there a few months later. Of course, he wasnt very limited on characters, having several of them, readily graveyarding those who didnt keep his interest so that he could make new ones. Due to this, Shock has made about as many races as anyone, while most certainly having created the most characters for one member. His real rise up the leaderboard was remarkably timely. Soon after the departures of Preist5 and Plzing, Shocks activity began to rise, helping to close the large gap between his characters and the likes of Terra and Seph, who were dominating at the time. His constant activity was eventually rewarded with him becoming the new second in command on the site, while his increasingly brilliant sessions for Kori in particular, including his Demon saga work, led to the character gaining stats faster than anyone else on the board, bringing him to the top spot in 2006, building up an impressive lead on the field. He retained the top spot for the majority of the year, losing it for a few short periods to Terra, only to gain it right back. Recently, his writing quality has been as good as anybody, and he has firmly established himself as one of the sites all-time best writers, complimenting that with some very deep sagas to develop his characters. A near ever present force in the main event missions and sagas, his participation on those has always been hugely beneficial. As a person, he has always been remarkably easy to work with, showing the kind of loyalty to the site and mental resilience that most could only strive to emulate. Its obvious he had his admirers, with Roo making a few efforts (all failed thankfully!) to persuade him to join his sites as staff, that being testament to his abilities as a writer and a moderator/admin. A priceless member? About as close to one as there will be.

Sephs a true veteran of the site, even if he isnt one of the older members around. Along with Plzing, and later Rem as well, Seph has provided the site with a ton of out of character posts, playing a pivotal role in a lot of the record post days weve had over the years. He definitely shocked a few people thanks to his antics with Plzing, who was often seen as more than just a friend of his as a result. However, itd be unfair to mention his out of character exploits only, as he has been equally important when role-playing, primarily with Sephroth, his main character, who has been in the top few ranks for a long while. Though he is yet to win a world tournament, Seph has spent time as the #1 ranked fighter, being the one to finally pass Jin, months after Preist5 had left. He enjoyed the position for a fair while and though he lost it a while back, he remained close to the top, spending most of his time in the top three since then. His other characters havent been quite as successful, with a couple of them being graveyarded after little or no work on them. Still, he does have a few amusing ones still in play, his adaptation of Scarlet Spider probably the most comical. Hes had a few short periods away from the site but has generally been consistently active, helping to plan out a saga or two, as well as playing large roles in several of them. As far as reputation goes, hes probably one of the sites best known members, as well as one of the most talkative!

Titans been around a fair while compared to most, though he surprisingly hasnt reached Legend status yet, this mainly down to him taking a few long periods away from the site, while he also has had a few characters to focus on when he has been around. Titan is a solid RPer, though never has been hugely active compared to a lot of the regulars, while not the biggest fan of the large events either. Had he been, maybe hed be a good deal higher on stat totals. Still, through it all, hes been a valuable member whos kept returning and gracing us with his abilities. Certainly, itd be an injustice to him if he ended up calling it quits before getting at least one character to become a Legend.

Another of the less known big members, due to his departure before most of the modern RPers even arrived. DC was responsible for bringing quite a few Buu-like characters to the board, although none became hugely strong. Still, he was a good writer, a nice person and a good active poster while he was around, disappearing without much warning at the end of it.

The first half of 2004 didnt provide the best crop of role-players, with only a small few remaining for longer than a few weeks. Thankfully, TIR, or Talod as I call him, wasnt one of those. He didnt remain with the site consistently, taking a few periods away, while also being a staff member on Parallels but was a good writer whose main character was a respectable one, even if he didnt make it to Legend status. Though he seemed to be rarely online to get hold of, it was because of his annoying trend of using the invisible option on AIM, meaning tracking him down was often a pain, even if he was on it a lot. He was a very likeable guy and caused virtually no problems on the site, being ideal in that way. Sadly, he decided to call it a day concerning DBZ RPGs in early March 2007 and will be missed. Of course, if I find him RPing on Parallels, Ill be giving him hell!
JSRVolt
Joined 8th May 2004
Had I remained in the US, it would have been really easy to go bug JSR when his activity was dropping, as wed have lived rather near to each other. One of two good role-players to join in early 2004, JSR has been around fairly consistently since joining and now controls quite a few characters, most of them having respectable stat totals. His strongest, Sai became the strongest full-blooded Saiyan, something which he seems to pride greatly, even if hes not in the top 10 in the rankings (yet at least). Hes responsible for producing a good amount of role-play sessions, as well as lounge posts, though those arent quite to the level of the upper tier of the out of character posters. His posts dont match up in length to the real long post members but theyre often good quality and part of some long, reasonably creative storylines. The majority of his sessions are done with other members (Rem mainly), with him much preferring those to training his characters alone. Quick to anger and not exactly a forgiving one, he doesnt have too many close allies as far as users go, though hes been a very valuable member, even if his recent activity has been on the low side.
Jaiden
Joined -3rd July 2004
Jaidens time on Legends has been far from smooth compared to most of the other regulars to put it lightly. Equipped with a fiery temper and willing to retaliate to most seemingly innocent jokes, he got into a fair share of heated arguments, becoming a target for it for quite some time. Thankfully, he settled down after a while and isnt so troublesome in the lounges, though he can be a bit of a handful on AIM at times. Of course, stay on his good side and he can be nice enough, while hes become a lot more agreeable on the whole since his early days. As far as role-playing goes, he started rather slowly, moving up a few places steadily, putting in moderate quality sessions, a few done jointly with Neoku, a real life buddy of his. His more recent sessions have been of much higher quality and Im sure even he would be surprised when comparing his new work with his earlier stuff. On top of his RP skills increasing, he also became much more involved in the site, playing a large part in the 2006 sagas, helping with graphics, designing the new button set and doing a lot of the work in creating the sidebar code, which gave the site a much improved look. Since late 2006, his main character, Jaiden has made a strong charge up the leaderboard, while his second and third strongest have also become Legends, giving him three, a number few will achieve. Lei, his newest character managed the feat in a little over a month, being the fastest to reach it by far. It will take an immense effort for anyone to ever do it faster and probably wont ever be bettered. He helps to moderate the Para RP section, which is sadly on the quiet side, though with his high activity levels and availability on AIM, hes been increasingly important to the sites activities.
KarasawaK2
Joined 11th August 2004
While he was a member, Karasawa was extremely active, rising rapidly up the rankings with his main character, Scipio, who had a decent spell as the strongest full-blooded Saiyan. Though not in the same tier of quality as the very best, Karasawas quality was surprisingly good considering his age, being just 13 or so when he joined. One would have never guessed it based on the quality of his writing and he certainly is proof that younger writers can still be very talented. He had several other characters on the side, but none of these ended up doing too much before he left. There have been a few short returns and claims to return from him, though nothing has really worked out. Maybe if he knew he had lost his position as strongest full-blooded Saiyan, he would be more motivated.
Mr Poo
Joined 16th August 2004
First of all, quite a class name. God knows what really inspired it. Mr Poo has had a few stints at the site and has appeared in quite a few of the main events, even if his best character isnt way up on the rankings. Still, his strongest isnt far off Legend and he should make it, providing he doesnt vanish completely. Though not hugely talkative in the out of character forums, hes a good RPer and comes up with some good stuff, while hes on AIM pretty often to get hold of when you need to.
RemrowVan II
Joined 23rd August 2004
For the amount of posts hes made, one would have thought Rem joined a lot earlier than he did. Still, hes been around a fair while and has become very well known among those whove spent a reasonable amount of time at the site. Along with Seph and Plzing, Rem helped the site achieve some huge post days with his posting in the lounges, along with a fair bit in character as well. During his active spell, he was gaining stats for his characters at an amazing rate and only him splitting his character, Remrow Van II into two halves kept him from surging away from everyone else on stats. Even after that, those two rapidly moved back up the Leaderboard, as did his other characters, his Android (21), reaching Legend status too. Technically, you could say hes had four characters reach that status, a record which very few will ever match or exceed. He also helped the site with various contributions to it, including being a moderator of Titania, founding one of the clans while they were in use and helping with new character applications. During his active time, he was always easy to get hold of and a great help, even pitching in on other jobs, like helping with the Leaderboards when the set moderators for it were too busy. More recently, hes been very quiet due to ongoing internet troubles, which need solving so that he can get back to regular posting.
Senel
Joined 31st August 2004
Though many would think Senel is a fairly new member, the more astute members will remember him as Drake12345, who joined a fair while ago. Since then, his role-playing has improved significantly, with his first character on a very respectable stat total. Most of that was built up in his first spell at the site, with him taking a fair break before rejoining as Senel in September 2006.
KArieus
Joined 8th September 2004
Without doubt, Kular is one of the best role-players the site has ever had. The level of detail he produces is immense and is the reason why he holds the record word count for most of the Cacos Complex levels, which often allowed him to breach traditional maximum marks for such sessions. His main character, Kularian, made Legend status extremely quickly and remains a highly respectable fighter, having played a pivotal role in a few sagas. The lupine Android is one very cool looking fighter and managed to actually resist the use of KI blast-style attacks, making him a very unique fighter. On top of his admirable skills in writing, he has proven himself to be a masterful user of the primitive Paint program, using it to make images others couldnt come close to making with it. After a long period away from the site, he returned early in 2007 and hopefully it will become a successful return, since users of his ability are very hard to come by. Also, his donations towards Gold for the community were greatly helpful. Then, when it comes down to it, hes just a nice guy to talk to, being very down to earth and very easy to work with in character and out.

Debito never succeeded in making one supremely strong character but produced some very fine sessions and storylines, as well as being responsible for making the greatest number of characters of the same name, Debito! Seemingly unable to stick with one race, he made the character as quite a few, dropping one and moving to the next without doing much with the last one. David Akashi, the character he kept and developed most gained a good deal of points and developed fairly well. Sadly, he was one of many good members who vanished rather suddenly and without much warning.

JJBBs been on and off the site for a fair while and has rather quietly advanced his main character, Avalon towards Legend status, being pretty close to it now. Since joining in late 2004, his quality has vastly improved and if his activity remained more consistent, he surely would have his main character as a Legend already. Of course, he still has a good chance to reach that.
Yoshimira
Joined 5th June 2005
Getting reputable members from rival sites is a rare occurrence, so it was a rather large surprise when Yoshi joined in mid 2005 and actually stayed. Still, it was a very valuable acquisition, since hes been an active member since, making some good sessions and participating in the odd main event too. His main character, Chip, is becoming quite a nuisance of an opponent due to his insane speed stat relative to his total and is moving nicely towards Legend status. His other characters are relatively new by comparison and are nowhere near Chips stat total, though they arent ignored and left to rot like the side characters of some of the regulars. Hes about one of the easiest to track down on AIM, despite his age and he proves that you can be a valuable member, while also having a job (something I could aspire to in the future perhaps!). Though his temper can be quite fiery at times and he can be very opinionated, deep down hes a nice, helpful guy whos given a lot to the site in time and money. His generous donations in 2006 helped to pay for a lot of the Gold price, and hell probably be equally helpful next time it needs paying for too. Additionally, hes done well as a moderator for new character applications and has learned the trade very quickly. Of course, if more people were joining, hed be able to put the job to more use!

Another member from my home state, brought on by JSR and thankfully so, as hes a very able writer and an active one too, being very active in the late 2006 mission with his main character, Sui. Though Sui has taken most of his time, his second character is also an amusing one and one of the few responsible for doing anything of note on Namek in past years apart from take part in Dragonball hunts. Still moving quietly up the rankings, he has been one of the more active members in recent times, while developing nicely as a role-player.
Yoroi
Joined 8th September 2005
Brought to the site by Shock, Yoroi got his first character, Kraler to Legend status faster than anyone had before him, doing so with some very high quality sessions, which underlined him as one of the sites better role-players. Though not one of the strongest characters in the late 2006 saga, Yoroi was one of the most active posters in it, helping it to run smoothly throughout, while his storylines outside the main events have been pretty unique compared to those of other members, keeping them amusing to read. Just the character itself is an interesting one due to who its based off of (Ill leave that for you to find out). More recently, hes expanded his character array with a few others, though they are yet to really fly up the rankings like his main one did.
